Note / A picture of a cup and saucer appears on the front and back of an aluminium plate. On one side the two red dots have become detached and float above the cup. MvW: ‘When I saw this remarkable cup and saucer I thought: take a break, have a cup of coffee. Then the abstract red spots can induce a daydream of a longer break. A simple cup transports you to a world of longing and to an oasis. Or a mirage.’
