Note / In this work a wooden merry-go-round horse runs along a sandy path. Fantasy and reality are united here by means of two films edited together. MvW: ‘Long ago I sat on a horse that refused to be hurried. After the umpteenth circle I pressed my cheek against the animal’s neck. As a little girl I saw the fairground crowd, the houses and my parents blur past in a strange first film made by the merry-go-round. Now and then as an artist I feel like this again when making a new film.’
